About S& K
S&K Kraftworks is the creative endeavour of sisters Kyla and Kym Price and was officially created at the end of Thanksgiving dinner with a side of pie in 2015. Their creations arose out of their grandmother’s, Lupacha Ann Beeman Price, rhymes and recipes found written in the margins of her crossword puzzle books. Their knowledge of medicinal herbs and their uses came from playing in her garden with her rosemary and rabbits.
They resurrected her knowledge through necessity. Each person at S&K Kraftworks has had to overcome her own traumas. They have survived deaths, divorces, and all sorts of diagnoses, only to pick up more pain and horrible addictions along the way. We all realized that we needed to save ourselves. So we dug our heels back into our roots and decided on a concept of, “Heal the whole not the hole.” That’s why we sell anything from wands to face serums. 1. ORGANIC BEAUTY PRODUCTS ARE MORE EARTH FRIENDLY
Conventionally produced beauty products contain ingredients that can have a negative impact on our environment. This starts at the very beginning, when farmers are harvesting ingredients. These conventional beauty products are made with ingredients that were harvested with pesticides and other harmful chemicals, which can greatly damage the soil. Once you move past the harvesting, the manufacturing of these products that are so chemically saturated also causes an increase in chemicals, from the air, to our water supply, to in your home.

It probably comes as no surprise, then, to know that a lot of these products are very bad for your skin, and can cause it to become unhealthy and irritated. Many people are allergic to these common chemicals that have been known to cause redness and breakouts.

This is one of the scariest loopholes that companies have to help them fill your beauty products with who knows how many chemicals. What’s wrong with fragrances? Don’t you want your products to smell good, and then, in turn, help you smell good? Well, yes, but the word fragrance doesn’t necessarily just mean something that helps to make the product smell better.
The Food and Drug Administration says that a company doesn’t have to release the ingredients in their fragrances because those are considered to be trade secrets. You don’t want another company to be able to steal a product’s exact smell if that is their selling factor. That’s understandable, but it’s how companies use this that causes a problem.
This trade secret factor allows companies to basically put whatever they want into a product and call it part of the product’s fragrance – and they never have to tell you what is in it. It’s not listed on the ingredients, it’s not on their website, it’s not known to the consumer. You have no idea how many chemicals have gone into making the fragrance and what those are. They could be extremely harmful or be something that the consumer is allergic to, and the company doesn’t have to fore warn you.
Organic and natural products eliminate this concern. These products aren’t going to contain these fragrance chemicals that could end up harming you. Instead, you know exactly what you are getting and what is going on your skin.
